City-scapes/Value Studies

It's a luxury to be able to paint for myself. So once again I'm concentrating on value because I feel if the values are off, the painting is weak and spoiled. This is the same intersection, painted an hour apart during the morning rush. I used only black and white oil paints.

What a great idea. Very nice results too! You're showing an admirable discipline. Did you enjoy the work?

I LOVE the work. For me, seeking out the correct values is almost everything. Once that's done, it all falls into place.
Hope you're able to enjoy you beautiful weather. It's cooold here.

Beautiful atmosphere and they feel so old world. Your values are so perfect, they do not need color.

I like these very much. Your values are just so beautifully suttle. Using only black and white truly makes you deal with value. What a great lesson. It is amazing the atmosphere you have conveyed. I feel the cold.
