Congrats on the show and thanks for sharing some that will be on exhibition with us. They are all beautiful and my favorite is Shimmering Lights. It has a lovely feeling to it. May the show be a great success!

I always love a good cafe night scene. Always brings back good feelings.
For the piece 'Buddies' I was wondering what created the interesting texturing across the legs then swirls in an arc near the legs of the man on the far left?

Hello Kathleen, Honor, Karen, and Brad. Thank you for your good wishes on the exhibition. I think it's an exciting and interesting show of paintings.
as to Brad's question-
It's just paint applied with palette knives and a round brush.

Susan, your luminous oils are absolutely wonderful! I wish you enjoyment and success in your upcoming show--wish I could be there to see these masterful pieces in person.

Thank you for your visit to my blog--it brought me to yours, which is wonderful. I'll be back.

Congrats on your Opening tonight!
Exciting!
I assume you are in NC...
not just your work.

The "pausing for the ripple effect" (you must have renamed it)
but, wow- each mark...adding to a great statement and saying only what's necessary.
Shimmering Lights- is reminiscent of Van Gogh in your composition and ability to...capture the night.
Those Buddies...are they from Grain-vyl...? Great character studies!

Hello Roxanne, Gary, and Mary,
Thanks for popping by!

Hi Jill,
Yeah, I renamed it because she more or less posed for me, impromtu.
No, those "buddies" are from a blop painting done in Portugal. They actually got pissed that I put them in my street scene. I think it was cool how European men can just hang out in the city center.
Glad you and your friends are back outside again. Painting in 60 degress weather seems like such a luxury.
