"Winter Passage"

I love to paint. So instead of playing on the computer and keeping my website and blogspot updated, I've been painting. Getting on the computer eats my painting time. Anyone else have this problem?
This painting was done right around the corner from my home. The long cool shadows and the warm brush caught my eye. But someday I'm going to return to paint this elegant corner building. Someone told me it was originally a bar about 100 years ago.
10"x8" Oil on Linen ($190.)
p.s. see Karen Phipps 2/11/09 painting. She's standing about 40 feet behind and down hill from me. I'm in her painting, painting this piece.

Yes! Susan. I do have the same problem with the computer eating up my time. I love visiting your blog and others', looking at what everyone is doing. This feeds me, inspires me and then...the day is nearly gone.

I'm so glad that you have the self discipline to paint and let the computer wait!

This is a beautiful painting, btw. the bright contrast next to the aging building is lovely.

Susan,
I'm glad you found my blog and now I found yours. This is just a delightful little scene. I look forward to seeing more of your beautiful little paintings.

When they invented the computer they should have added several more hours in the day! I agree it's hard to juggle painting time and computer time - I'm still trying to find a balance.

Love the color agaist the greys in this one.

I've tagged you on my blog - check out my post of 2/14 to see what you should do next (although I'm sure you've been tagged before)!

This is gorgeous.

I also spend WAY too much time on the computer. But along those same lines, would you like to link blogs? I've added yours to mine. :)

Just checked out your web site. Very Nice Work! I like your loose expressive style.
I can relate to that feeling of getting caught in the web. I only try to update my blog weekly and still I feel like I should title it "Really Should be Painting".

Well it's pretty obvious that I'm not the only one with the computer problem. But I guess we all agree we'd rather live with than without our high tech. toys.
Happy Painting everyone!!!
