"SkyLine"-city colors series

Painted early in the morning with a palette knife. I was after capturing the feeling of the hazy light which caused the buildings to filtering in and out of view.

Just discovered your blog from Karen's link to you. So, glad she did that. Your work is wonderful. It has a sophisticated Monet-like feeling. Well done!
As one who comes from the desert, it's hard to understand all of that water. However, you communicate the atmosphere elegantly.
I did fly over Chicago last year...got a glimpse, but that doesn't really count.

Thanks for checking out my blog and hope you'll continue to do so. I spent this past winter in Phoenix and got to really appreciate the weather and landscape. I was able to get a few small plein air piece made when the spring wild flowers were in bloom- really beautiful.
