City Colors - "Still Waters, No Sails"

Painted this with early morning light to get the haze. I think that I can add more sailboats to the foreground without losing the serentiy of the piece.

What a LOVELY painting! Exceptional likeness I must say. I am a photographer and am out at Montrose Harbor ALOT. Day or night setting, with or without boats, all seasons - check out some of my photos at: http://thepoint-n-shootist.com/picture_perfect/ and http://thepointandshootist.com/photos/ If ever you need a picture to work from, PLEASE let me know!

Thanks for your lovely comments. I agree, Montrose is a great place to make art as well as sail. Also, thank you for your offer of photos but I paint from direct observation. Happy Art-making.
