"Behind the Scenes"

Because it began to rain and the wind was strong, I took shelter under the green bridge (see last week painting of this bridge). Perhaps the smart thing to do would have been to head back home but I still felt like painting. The only thing I could see was the top back of a building(s) and these wires. It may not be the typical "pretty" landscape but I liked trying to capture the fall blustery air. It may be the beginning of a new series called, "Behind the Scenes."

10"x8" Oil on Linen ($145.)

It makes me laugh to think of you hiding under a bridge in the cold rain, painting. That is dedication.
I love the atmosphere in this one.

Well I couldn't let you have all the fun.
We're going to freeze painting on Friday. They predict rain and sleet.

My gosh, this is really dramatic, Susan. You're very brave. I think you've got a series suggested in this approach. Although, I will worry about your health! It looks so cold...but, exquisitely beautiful.

It is really cold but the lighting is so great when the temperatures drop that the challenge of capturing it correctly keeps me outdoors. Thanks for your encouraging comments!
