Ah. This is lovely. Your apple painting reminds me of a beginner artist who asked, a month ago on her blog, "Why paint?, How many ways can you paint an apple?, and what does it mean?" She was having a rough day.

My response was, "...everything. If the image of an apple can make you weep with admiration for technique or expression...well, isn't that reason enough?"

You've done this here, with this painting.

Your work is evocative, no matter what the subject.
