"Redd"

Yesterday was raining too hard to paint outside so I finished a piece I started a while ago. This painting is part of a plein air piece and much larger. My aim was to create the pleasure I have on a solitary walk among all the beautiful colors.

Dear Maggie, You made my day. This is the third in a series I started a while back. I haven't yet had a chance or the opportunity to exhibit them so your comment is my first. Nice to start on a high note.

Hi Susan,
I think you definitely shared the pleasure you experience on your walks. I just love the colors and leaves are one of my favorite things. Love it!

Thank you Kathleen, It's wonderful to know that we've connected on this artistic level.

Very beautiful! Was it odd to work on autumn colors in the spring?

Hi Garriott,no it didn't feel odd to work with reds because despite or rather because of the rain, we've had so many great colors to paint.

Oh the size! I want to see this in person. It gets that feeling of solitude perfectly- I can feel myself looking up and pondering that beauty in the leaves and sky when I look at this. I kind of 'float' through it when I look at it.

Hi Karen, I love that you "float through it." How perfect.
