This young mother was watching her children walk off to school. Her outline caught my eye. I started to paint her using just line but quickly went to simple big shapes. She soon moved on to start her day. I resorted to memory and invention to finish this piece. I added a hat and changed her sweatshirt to a tank top. When I looked up I was alone.
